Power of Attorney for Child

A Power of Attorney for Minor Children can be used by a parent, or guardian, to assign their rights and responsibilities to their minor child(ren) for a period of time. Most states restrict the length of time a Power of Attorney for Minor Children can be in effect to a maximum of six (6) months. If the appointment is needed longer than six (6) months, a new Power of Attorney can be executed or you can consider permanent guardianship proceedings.
